Reminiscent of a Provencal house, the interior, still mostly in its original condition, is kept uncluttered; furnished with a mix of antiques and simple, comfortable furniture (Dutch owner is an interior designer). Renovated kitchen with lots of light and garden view. Terrace outside kitchen for outdoor eating. Very peaceful setting. Within 10 minutes: historic Kingston, High Falls, Stone Ridge; restaurants, antique stores and an old movie theatre in Rosendale (admission:$5). Within 30 minutes: Rhinebeck, New Paltz, Woodstock, Mohonk (golf), Minnewaska, Catskill Mountains. 50 minutes to Hunter Mountain.
