The Sunsets are magnificent: Most everyday we will take a drive by Lake Michigan at Sunset time. We are always impressed by the beauty of the beach, sky, and lighthouses as the colors change and the sun goes down. It's fun to get an ice cream cone from 1 of the many nearby places to enjoy while watching the sun set. Although this home is not on the beach, a 2 minute walk around a curving road gets you the view shown in the listing...Beautiful.
BoardWalk , Bike Trail, and Playground Parks: Within a 1 minute walk from Beach Street House, you'll encounter a lovely park with playground, covered picnic and grill area, and ball field. At the North end of Beachwood Park is the Bike Trail. If you go there at dusk, you will probably see some deer. Also from the Trail, hiking to the left on top of the dunes, you can enjoy another view of Lake Michigan along with a quiet walk through a Pine Forest. The Boardwalk is a wooden walkway extending the length of Lake Michigan from the 'curve' to the water filtration plant. It has benches to sit and enjoy the view, or just keep walking around it , turn right on Lakeshore and you'll connect with the Bike trail and end up back at Beachwood Park. It's a fun hike even the kids will enjoy.
Pets are welcome with no additional charge.
