Why Katama is the best!: Our house is located on Herring Creek Rd*. halfway between Edgartown Center and beautiful South Beach in the Katama section of Edgartown, Katama is arguably the most desirable part of Edgartown, if not the entire Island. And with good reason. Built on a grassy plain with a decidedly 'beach-y' feel, the homes are all surrounded by low lying flora and fauna and have that open-sky feeling you only get when you're close to the beach (especially the ocean). Also, this year, we're looking forward to having the brand new bike path go right by the end of our driveway so you'll be able to jump on your bike and be at the beach in minutes (something I know we are looking forward as well). In fact, with the new bike path, it will now be possible to bike either to the beach or to Edgartown in just minutes. * Mapquest it and you'll see what we mean
