NOTE: STEEP STAIRS AND EMAILING: Due to the age of this 'old' house the stairs to the upstairs bedrooms are steep. Navigating them would be difficult for Elderly and/or Toddlers. There are however, two sitting rooms on the first floor - one with a queen futon and the other with a daybed with pop-up bed below (making either 2 twins or together making a King bed). NOTE: PLEASE - WHEN EMAILING ME MAKE SURE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IS CORRECT - OR YOUR SERVER ACCEPTS NEW EMAIL !! OTHERWISE YOUR EMAIL GETS KICKED BACK AND I CANNOT CONTACT YOU. Email is the fastest way to contact me and receive an IMMEDIATE response. I have had many emails kicked back to me as incorrect emails or non-deliverable. Thank you.
Activities for All Ages: A block away from our house in all directions you will find many activities and restaurants for the whole family. There are restaurants serving pizza, Mexican, and seafood, particularly a new oyster restaurant. Not far from the house is the famous Sunday School ice cream parlor. Less than a mile away on Rte 28 one can find kayak, canoe and paddle boat rentals for exploring the Swan River and Swan Pond. Right before Swan River is a miniature golf course as well as other entertainment venues for kids of all ages. If one walks two or three blocks you can enjoy a play at the Harwich Junior Theater . Bring your bikes and explore the area where there a small beaches at the end of each road along Nantucket Sound, or begin an adventure on the Rail Trail Bike Path that will take you farther out on the Cape. There is much to see and do in and around our Nantucket School House. Maps and lists of activities will await your arrival. Come and have fun on Cape Cod.
Fall on Cape Cod: If you visit us in September through December - you will be warm and cozy as this 'old' house has a wonderful new European radiant heating system - if the weather turns chilly. No matter what time of the year - our house will give you the comfort and relaxation you long for. It is also a most beautiful time of the year on Cape Cod. Less traffic, many restaurants are still open and activities of all sort available for your pleasure.. The best time of the year for hiking, kayaking, canoeing as well as 'painting' the landscape - for those artists who appreciate the light and beauty of Cape Cod. This time of the year is the greatest time to explore and enjoy all that the Cape has to offer.
Golf: If golfers would like information about the many golf courses in the area - we will be happy to get that information for you.
