Something For Everyone: This is an ideal vacation spot as there is something for everyone. You feel like you are a million miles away while you are at 'camp,' yet in reality you are only minutes away from downtown Damariscotta. Make life as simple or complicated as you like. Prepare a gourmet meal or go out and grab a burger at the Pub. There are a variety of excellent restaurants to choose from. This is a foodies paradise! Day trips to Portland of Camden are 1 hr. Outlet shopping in Freeport (LL Beans) is 45 minutes away. Superb book store and shops in town. Wonderful library with Internet access should you decide you need to stay plugged in.
Hard to Choose: Lots of out of the way lobster pounds to discover. Great antiquing and auctions within minutes of the camp. At night stop by one of the ice cream shops after catching a flick in one of the oldest theaters in Maine. If you prefer there are also live performances at the Round Top Arts Center in town. Back at camp listen to the loons, read a book, or contemplate taking one last dip in the lake before you turn in for the night.
Tournament Bass Fishing: There are several Bass fishing tournaments from June through September. If you are interested we can find out the dates for you.
