Condos in Sunset Beach Reward You with the Best

Surfers know it well but you don’t have to be a longboarder to be invited to Sunset Beach. This is a fine vacation destination for anyone who enjoys a laid-back scene and likes the idea of traveling to the edge of the world – or in this case, Oahu’s North Shore.

If you are out to catch a few thrills, try your luck here – where wintertime conditions combine to make some of the longest and most enticing waves even by North Shore standards. This is serious stuff, however (the Triple Crown of Surfing is even held here), so you may be content to let the pros have at it while you enjoy a little vicarious excitement from the safety of the shoreline.

Called Sunset Beach for good reason, spend at least a few good evenings in a prime spot to view the oranges and pinks of the setting sun and the mesmerizing reflections cast upon the sea. During the summer you’ll want to swim and snorkel to your heart’s content – the water has calmed by now - and with long stretches of sand at your disposal, there’s room for everyone.

After sating your senses with the fragrant salty air, head to town for some shopping, strolling and snacking. You’ll still feel the presence of the mighty ocean as you visit with the locals, sit down for a meal of fresh mahi mahi and make your way up and down the lovely northern shore of Oahu.

Towns like Haleiwa, Turtle Bay and Waimea Bay are nearby and worth a visit, and if you want to venture a little farther there’s a whole island full of delights that could take weeks to properly absorb. Honolulu, Waikiki and dozens of attractions like the Dole Pineapple Plantation and the USS Arizona Memorial will keep you in a constant state of rapt attention.

You’ve done well by choosing this as the site of your next vacation, especially if you go ahead and book an idyllic house on a bluff overlooking the beach or a condo perfectly situated right on the water. No doubt, a good time will be had by all.
