Getting to Know Santa Rosa Beach

Pretty as a picture and overflowing with options, Santa Rosa Beach is the kind of place where it’s a pleasure to become lost. That’s “lost” as in out of touch with the working world and ignorant of what time it is – in other words, the good kind of lost.

Located along the Florida Panhandle in command of sparkling beaches, plenty of relaxing diversions and a nice spread of homey vacation rentals, this destination is a sure thing for bringing to life your daydreams of sand and sea. This region is definitely in tune with travelers’ needs, as just about anything you’d like to do is offered here. Bike, swim, kayak, surf, comb the beach for treasures…freshen up at “home” and then head out for some dining, shopping and entertainment until it’s time to fall asleep (and that’ll be some of the best snoozing you’ll ever have, by the way).

Up and down the coast you’ll find places like Grayton Beach, Miramar Beach and Destin, among others. This means for miles on end there’s nothing but lovely scenery, spas, massage parlors, restaurants, boutiques and places to find all the gear and equipment you need for adventure. There are also a few entrances to Point Washington State Forest, a 15,000 acre preserve as well as dunes, lakes and swamps that have been maintained and protected for centuries.

You already knew that Florida was the land of leisure, but now you’ll have the chance to experience it firsthand. Head to this especially magnetic area and just soak it all in; getting lost can be a very good thing.
