Shopping & Golf: There are two main districts right on Siesta Key, each with a wide variety of shops that carry merchandise ranging from gifts and T-shirts to the finest haute-couture to ice cream. Siesta Key Village, with more than 100 businesses, is located on the Northwest side of the Key. The Siesta South Shopping area begins at the Stickney Point Bridge and goes south along Midnight Pass Road. This area contains another 50 businesses. For the golfing enthusiast there are over 25 courses in the Sarasota Area. .
Glorious Beaches: The beaches of Siesta Key are world-renowned. They are also the island's centres of social activity - places to meet, to hold reunions, group picnics, even weddings - or just to stroll, bicycle or jog with friends. Siesta Key Public Beach extends along a half-mile of the most pristine white sands in the world. The pure quartz, pulverised to a fine powder, has a magical quality. There is no sand quite like Siesta's anywhere. Cresent Beach, usually a little less crowded, has the same fine, white sand. Located just south of Siesta Key Public Beach, it stretches for about one and one-half miles toward a place called 'Point of Rocks', where scuba divers explore the underwater scenery. At the southern end of Siesta Key lies Turtle Beach where the beach is narrower and the sand is perhaps a little more coarse.
Dining & Night-Life: A wide variety of culinary pleasures await the Siesta Key visitor. You may choose to eat in a casual beach atmosphere or in a more formal setting at a restaurant with tuxedoed waiters, candlelight and soft music. You will find an excellent selection of American, French, Oriental, Continental and Italian cuisine’s that compare favourably with the finest big city restaurants. Siesta also has several great places for breakfast or lunch and most will arrange take-outs for enjoying at the beach. Later in the afternoon you'll want to try a cool treat from one of the wonderful ice cream and yoghurt shops. And then, don't overlook the fantastic Fudge Factory.
