Sit on the historic pier at Anna Maria Island and watch the world go by, or watch the dolphins swimming in the shallow waters, take a short drive up to St. Petersburgh and enjoy the old world feel at Johns pass. Serious fishermen can indulge on the piers at Sunshine Skyway whilst the ladies can indulge in the Ellenton Shopping Mall on the way home.
Sarasota: Sarasota is famous for its smart and sophisticated shopping facilities as well as the numerous top class restaurants that are readily available. For those looking for a bargain, a large factory outlet is just up the road at Ellenton Mall, whether you are looking for top brand clothes, extremely good value diamonds or simply something to spoil the other half, you are sure to find id here. Those looking for more leisurely activities can enjoy watching the large variety of wildlife from poolside.
Activities: For the more active there are a whole range of watersports available within a few minutes drive including deep sea fishing, paragliding, jet ski, water skiing etc.. or simply charter your own yacht for that added luxury. For golfers some 50 top quality courses are located in the area. You can fish on site in the numerous lakes. Alternatively, you can simply watch the world go by lazing poolside, where the views overlooking the lake and preserve area are superb, American Eagles and even Alligators can be seen.
