Around the Apartment.: The apartment is a few yards/ 50 metres away from the metro station that in 20 mins takes you straight to Las Ramblas, in the centre of Barcelona, which is the main promenade that goes from Plaza Catalunya to the harbour. There is a big supermarket in the basement of Corte Ingles of Plaza Catalunya. There is also a food market that you shouldn't miss: Mercat de la Boqueria, on Las Ramblas. In La Floresta itself there are a genral store and a good small supermarket, three good local restaurants, including one charming open air rotisserie and a large area of virtually unspoilt countryside, Collserolla National Park, dotted with fine examples of Modernista architecture. About the Collserola National Park : The slopes of the Mt. Collserola near Barcelona, incorporate an area of 48.32 square kilometres (slightly less than 30 square miles). It is 124 meters (400 feet) above sea level with a population of 54,623. The municipality includes not only the urban centre of Sant Cugat but also the districts of Mira-sol, La Floresta and Las Planes and the district of Valldoreix.
