Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
- The above rates are for up to 4 persons. There are substantial discounts for up to 2 persons, and higher rates for up to 6 and up to 8 persons. See the extra page of details (which also includes more photographs) for the full tariff for up to 2, 4, 6 and 8 persons. The villa rental includes all facilities, maid service weekdays, except Portuguese national holidays, weekly change of sheets and towels, gas, electricity and water. Beach towels are not provided. A welcome parcel of essential food and drinks, and car hire, can be arranged if required.
- A returnable deposit of £100 is required on arrival to cover any unforeseen breakages. For babies requiring a cot, there will be no charge other than for cot hire, which is £30 per week. The villa is not suitable for toddlers or other children to 14. Off season, the cost of space heating if required is calculated and paid locally. Long winter rentals are available at special terms.
- The rental is determined by the commencing date of the holiday and each succeeding week’s date of commencement. Optional pool heating is charged at £100 per week. Change-over day is Thursday or exceptionally another day by arrangement. Departure is by 10.00 AM on that day. There is a £50 booking supplement in respect of any agreed weekend arrival dates in order to cover additional costs. A deposit of £75 per person is required on booking and the balance six weeks prior to arrival. The usual travel and cancellation insurance is recommended.

The property: The villa is set in over an acre of landscaped and irrigated gardens. Whilst the lower terraces have retained their traditional agricultural appearance, the land surrounding the villa is now lavishly planted with an abundant array of plants and mature trees and shrubs. The garden and pool are professionally maintained. The property naturally lends itself to outdoor living with its large Moorish pillared veranda and ten meter swimming pool, which can be illuminated at night, and a games area. Pool heating may be requested in advance as an optional extra. A tiled dining table conveniently placed by the barbecue, ideal for taking meals al fresco, completes the recreation area. A roof top patio is available for private sunbathing. Out of season, comfort is assured by full gas fired central heating and by double-glazing throughout the villa. A wood burning stove adds cosiness to the sitting area as does a gas log fire in the dining room.
The Algarve: The Algarve has a relaxed and historic character quite distinct from other Mediterranean resorts. Many visitors are attracted by the many superb golf courses of international standard. Others come for the sunshine and the miles of unspoilt sandy beaches. Monte das Figueiras is for the discerning visitor, those who enjoy quiet idyllic days in the complete privacy of their own country house, with easy access to all the area's holiday facilities. The property is located near Azinheiro, a village approximately thirty minutes drive from Faro International Airport. Estoi is the closest town to the villa. Within five minutes drive, it offers a variety of small shops, a country market, Roman ruins and an 18th century palace. Faro Old Town and the delights of Olhao - a fishing town famous for its Moorish architecture - are within easy reach.
Accomodation: ENTRANCE HALL. A large welcoming area with cloakroom, and glass doors to a terrace, it is completed with typical and antique local artefacts. SITTING ROOM. A large attractive room with views of the pool and terraces. DINING ROOM. This room enjoys views over the countryside towards the ocean. It is furnished in the traditional Algarvean style. VERANDA. This covered summer living space houses a large brick barbecue and tiled outdoor dining table. The specially constructed games area, equipped for boules and other pastimes offers particularly attractive views to the coast. KITCHEN The kitchen overlooks the front gardens and comes fully equipped with a refrigerator / freezer, gas cooker, dish washer, microwave oven and all other usual kitchen machinery. BEDROOMS. There are four spacious double bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms with WCs. Two of the bathrooms have baths with additional showers and the other two have showers. All bedrooms have access to private balconies or terraces.
