- No security deposit required. Daily basic cleaning included. Full time servant available for extra $10/day who can cook. babysit, run errands, etc. She can prepare your meals, make fresh tortillas, bring supplies from town. You can also take meals with a family in the village. Guides for trekking and horseback riding can be hired for $30 per day. Horses can be made available in adjoining corral for $50/ week per horse (minimum). Any additional services can be arranged upon request such as airport pickup. Cultural tours with historic haciendas can be arranged. If you choose to not have your own vehicle there are people in the village that will provide transportation to the bus stop, larger towns. Taxis can also be called. Transfers from airport in Guadalajara to ranch are $100 USD. each way.

- Extra single beds can be added to the large bedrooms to bring sleeping capacity to eight. The bedrooms have high ceilings with wooden beam and brick tiles. House is adobe is structure. Master bedroom adjoins large bathroom with huge tub/shower and two sinks and has marble floors. Has views overlooking mountains facing east. House is divided in two parts with two bedrooms on one half and the rest of the house and one bedroom and bathroom in the other. Joined by covered patio. Very peaceful and quiet. The thick adobe walls keep the house cool at all times. In the winter months the cool nights are supplemented by heaters which are needed only occasionally.

Rural adventures in the real Mexico!: We have lived and worked on Rancho Rayo de Luna for almost 20 years and are now offering to you a chance to enjoy all our favorite activities (minus the work!!). We want our ranch house rental to become your home during your stay and the adventure travel you are looking for. There are so many options , whether you want a secluded honeymoon getaway, or an adventure vacation for the whole family, you stay with us will go by quickly, but here are just a few:
Unique opportunities to explore:: -enjoy the perfect climate from the hammocks, with daytime temps of 28 degrees and gorgeous views, there´s no need to move at all! -join a privately arranged birdwatching tour -Horse ride or hike through the mountain trails with a barbecue waiting for you at a waterfall. -Hike or mountain bike , easy to difficult, on well marked paths or with knowledgeable guides who can show you the hidden mines and enthrall you with mystical legends. -Mexican cooking lessons, using native plants and ingredients. -cultural tours of local villages and hidden corners of our region. -evening picnic with incredible sunset views from the mountain top, beverages included. - visit private hot water springs and waterfalls. -participate in local fiestas, rodeos or bullfights. - Have your own private Spanish lessons or help the kids in the local school learn English. -Swim in a private freshwater spring fed stream nearby. -Fish or hunt on our 120 ha.
Meet your neighbors: The ranch is only 2 km from the local village where you will find open friendly people eager to get to know you. We include daily maid service not only to clean the house but to act as your liason to the village. These peaceful little villages in the mountains have their own charm. Living at the ranch give you a leisurely chance to walk into the village in the morning, enjoy the aroma of torillas baking over a wood fire and to watch the children at their simple games. Horses and donkeys are still a major means of transportation here. There are always local town festivals going on somewhere nearby and if you are interested in attending that can be easily arranged as Mexican are a hospitable people. This is part of a rural tourism initiative to provide jobs and cultural exchanges. Please join us.
Golf: There are several large golf courses in and around Guadalajara and guest passes can be arranged.
