- The romantic Tuscan ideal is conveyed in each individual tastefully appointed and elegant room. Antique farmhouse pieces have been combined with modern luxury materials such as memory foam mattresses and silk bedspeads to give maximum comfort. These furnishings sit comfortably with the terracotta floors and ceilings, chestnut beamed ceilings and marble creating a typical Tuscan authenticity. The bedrooms are large all with king-sized beds. All the bedrooms can be twin bedded if required. Bedroom 3 can comfortably accommodate a further 2 beds allowing a total of 16 sleeping in comfort. Watercolour Painting Courses: Painting courses are available throughout the year. Expert tuition is available for all levels from novice to expert, to help you make the most of your watercolour skills in the beautiful setting of Lucca and its surrounding countryside… and then after the days exertions you can enjoy delicious home cooked four course dinners accompanied by locally produced fine wine in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The next courses are 5th April to 10th April 2008 and 25th October to 30th October 2008
Cookery Courses: Cookery Courses are available during the year. Experience cookery courses for local Tuscan cuisine in the tranquil environment of our estate. You will be given lessons in theory and practice in preparing typical Tuscan dishes. Guided tastings of local wine and olive oil are provided.
Il Granaio: This charming newly restored house lies in the grounds of A Chele. Like A Chele the original character of the house has been preserved by using original materials including terracotta floors, chestnut beamed ceilings, and local Carrara marble. The house has a floor area of 150 sq m. The ground floor comprises a large lounge and dining area, with a fully fitted kitchen in painted wood and marble surfaces. There is also a laundry room and wc. The central stairs lead to the first floor with 3 large king size bedrooms with either double or twin beds. One bedroom is ensuite with bath, separate shower and twin basins, wc and bidet. There is another bathroom on the first floor with shower, basin bidet and wc. The bathrooms have been decorated similarly to A Chele with coloured stucco walls and tasteful lighting and chestnut beams, terracotta tiled floors, carrara marble surfaces, shower walls and floors with high quality bathroom fittings. Outside there is a restored Pizza oven for your use
