Villa Amalia is located in the urban district of Cava dei Tirreni in Province of Salerno. It was built on the XVII century in the most typical and fascinating hamlet of the town called “Rotolo”. The deep and romantic view on the Amalfitan Coast, the silent and a pleasant persistent microclimate, attracted, in the pre-renaissance epoch, the neapolitan aristocracy that built the most representative summer villas in the hamlet. Among those residences, the most ancient: Prince Martin’s villa, just actual Villa Amalia. Cava is a star-shaped town for its distinctive urban structure. The origins date back to the years following the Abbey foundation in 1080. The particular position of town offers to visitors the possibility to reach many famous centers of storic, cultural and touristic interest with easy link by boat, train and car: Vietri on the sea (1,5 ), Salerno ( 3 miles ), Amalfi ( 8 ), Positano ( 12 ), Pompei ( 10 ), Sorrento ( 15 ), Isola di Capri ( 60 min.), Isola d'Ischia e Procida

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

• On arrival guests are requested to present the entry voucher and a personal document to the staff for registration as required by Italian law. On arrival guests must pay the staff the security deposit of 1.000 euros in cash, traveller’s cheque or Euro cheque. The deposit will be returned to the guests on departure after the state of the Villa has been checked and after deduction of eventual damages caused by the guests and supplementary costs ( services not included ). If a client departs earlier or at a different time that it is not the time agreed upon, the staff will return the security deposit by post.
  We would remind clients that Villa Amalia is a private house with Self-Catering and it is not a hotel or a farm holiday structure and as such it is not classified in internationally know categories and has been restructured and furnished according to the tastes of the owner in keeping with traditional Amalfitan architecture.
• The booking form contains the amounts and due dates of the various payments needed to make the booking, as follows:
  30% as deposit to be paid on the act of booking.
  70% as balance to be paid in the forty days preceding the beginning of the location. Balance payment by Credit Card will be accepted with a charge of credit card fees in the measure of 2% for VISA.(if available).
  On receipt of the balance Villa Amalia will send to clients, by e-mail, the documents relative to the booking ( invoice and directions ).
  For booking made less than 40 days before the beginning of stay the clients must take the payment of total amount of the rent in one single instalment on the act of booking. The way of payment will be the same as in the normal booking procedure.
  At the time of booking the clients are required to declare all their names and the age of any children under 10 who will stay in the Villa and whose presence will be communicated to the authorities.
• The cancellation of a booking, even if substituted by another, will entail the payment of the following penalties:
  30% of the total amount of the booking before the 40th day preceding the beginning of the stay;
  60% of the total amount of the booking in case of cancellation of booking communicated between the 38th and the 30th day preceding the beginning of the stay;80% of the total amount of the booking in case of cancellation of booking communicated between 29th and the 8th day preceding the beginning of stay;
  100% of the total amount of the reservation in the 7 days preceding the beginning of stay.
  Normally the day of arrival and departure is Saturday unless another day is indicated. The times scheduled for arrival are between 04.00 and 07.00 pm.
  Departure from the Villa will be in the morning before 10.00 am, thus allowing access at 09.00 am to the staff to control the state of the Villa and get the place ready for the afternoon arrivals.
