The apartment looks onto a picturesque cobblestone pedestrian-only archway leading straight to the beach and the lakeside with the beautiful pubs, restaurants, shops and art galleries. The rooms of this apartment on the first floor, of a recently restored sixteen century building, affords picturesque views of the lake. The hall, the bedroom, the bathroom with shower and the kitchen-sitting room with fireplace are bright and furnished with good taste, in a modern and functional style. The apartment is within walking distance of Varenna's highlights.

The apartment is within walking distance of Varenna's highlights. Villa Cipressi, built in the sixteen century, has terraced gardens cascading to the lake's edge. Its cypress trees and wisteria provide a beautiful backdrop for a garden walk. Nearby, Villa Monastero has been called the highlight of Lake Como's eastern shore. This former sixteen century Cistercian abbey is today an important international meeting centre. The apartments have been recently opened to the public and can be visited during the weekend. But Villa Monastero is rightly famous above all for its wonderful gardens with impressive statues and neoclassic architectural elements.
The square features the twelfth century Church of San Giorgio, built over an ancient temple. This parish church features a distinctive round red brick steeple.

CLIENTS ARRIVING BY TRAIN: MEETING AT THE RAILWAY STATION (800 MT. FROM MARIASHOUSE). WE’LL ASK THEM TO CONFIRM THE ARRIVAL TIME.
WE’LL PROVIDE, ON REQUEST, TRANSPORT FOR CLIENTS TO THE NEAREST SUPERMARKET (6-7 KM. FROM VARENNA).
