Just relax in a beautiful surrounding ...: Just relax ... The country house ' Il Casone ' is ideal for a sporty-active vacation, but also for those who look for relax and contemplation. Due to the different located terraces everybody finds his personal place in the shadow or in the sun. Who wants to be active agriculturally, can work in the vegetable garden or in the orchard and can even try to harvest olives in order to get a very personal olive-oil. Cooking addicted people can prepare their own Pesto with in-house basil. Furthermore: crisp vegetables. At (rare!) rainy days the well equipped library lures with books in different languages. Feel free to feel at home in this enchanting 'coin' of Liguria is the wish of the house owner, a French German travel journalist.

... or discover hidden jewels : To the nature reserve Portofino, a paradise for hikers and mountain bikers or to the untouched Fontanabuona valley it is only a cat's jump. Bargain hunters of antiques have a look at the antique markets of Chiavari, Genoa and Sarzana. Designer labels with ridiculous low prices can be found in the Outlet of Serravalle (30 min by highway). Daily tours in the Cinque Terre and to the pearls of the gulf of La Spezia can be done comfortably by train or by ship. The culinary capital of Liguria, the small town of Recco, is only 10 minutes by car. And of course Genoa, in 2004 European cultural capital, with its fascinating Old Town and its Palazzi recently become UNESCO-world heritage. And why not explore Nizza and Cannes on the nearby Cote d´Azur. And don’t forget the Day-Spa in the the Hotel Excelsior Palace *****in Rapallo or in the Grand Hotel Miramare ***** in Santa Margherita.

Guest Book: Extract from the visitors' book: 'Having caught a 0.01 cents flight from London Stansted to Genoa we have been the first Brits at Il Casone. We loved our one week stay a lot and left our 'paradise' only to do some elementary shopping, although the orchard and the chicken did their best. And for sure we will come again.
