Anglers and Others Note!: Marston Cottage is located within 1 minute walk of famed Blackwater Lodge with fly shop, ghillies, instructors, prized salmon beats available there. Salmon fishing in Ireland here and elsewhere is on a fee for day beat basis and can be easily arranged via an outstanding ghillie 2 minutes away.
Quaintness: Marston Cottage is one mile to charming village of Ballyduff with unspoilt old world pub and good restaurant. Lismore, five miles away, has many more of same and country houses with gourmet meals, summer theater, and horseback riding abound along with golf, etc.
Literary Types: The owner is the American-born author of the acclaimed Lonely Planet travel literature title Jaywalking With The Irish and keeps many books on site. There are literary and summer theatre festivals in the area. Wife Jamie is involved with Irish theatre. We will help in every way.
