From the Haina Sistine cloister, the birthplace of the Goethe painter Tischbein, to Arolsen Palace, known as little Versailles, to the Thonet Museum in Frankenberg, with its unique panorama of seating furniture (from the Viennese coffee-house style through to Bauhaus,) there are many treasures here waiting to be discovered.
