Fresh and healthy: In Diebach and its surrounding towns, you can buy fresh and healthy foods directly from the farmer. Family-owned vineyards offer their excellent wines and spirits. Bakers, butcher and small grocery shops are in Diebach, bigger shopping centres etc. a short 4 kms away. Cosy little restaurants serve you tasty and low-priced typical Franconian meals. Also gourmets can enjoy choice dishes here in wonderful restaurants within old and mysterious buildings.
Activities: Indoor- and outdoor swimming pools as well as a beach-volleyball court are at close distance (4 km). Bike and boat rentals are possible, you may go on your own boat tour on the Saale river or participate in guided canoeing tours. Barbecueing is also possible at the Saale river banks. The apartment offers cosy corners for children and a number of board games and videos.
Other interesting facts: A nearby farm with horses, peacocks and many other animals in Diebach organizes carriage rides and more. Historic landmarks, castle ruins, traditional architecture and a local museum with a special exhibition (bread & wine) offer a cultural insight. Don´t miss the many opportunities to go wine-tasting and to participate in tours through the traditional Franconian wine-cellars and vineyards and to enjoy the many little festivals in the area.
Golf: 18-hole golf course in Bad Kissingen (25 kms away). This famous old spa - where kings and emperors have formerly been on health cures - offers a luxurious surrounding and a casino. There are cultural activities as well, like the 'Kissinger Sommer' or 'Winterzauber' annual highbrow music festivals.
