Barbados Luxury family holiday villa with large pool. 2 king size bed rooms and 1 twin room. Villa only finished June 2007. Fully equipped with Private pool, garage, LCD TV, Safe, 5 Bicycles, multi choice (cable) TV , 2 DVD players, PlayStation, Personal computer with broadband (still on order..), or use your own PC with wireless, laser printer, telephone (on order..) 3 air conditioned bedrooms, master with Jacuzzi whirlpool bath, ceiling fans throughout. BBQ and gazebo with fan. Kitchen with Ice maker, stove with oven, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. 10 minutes drive to Crane Beach, Voted third best beach in the world, 5 mins. to nearest beach. The property is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, on the south of the island. You can see the sea near Miami beach from the Pool side. Coverley house is located on the top of a hill overlooking the Atlantic ocean. The main geographical feature the property enjoys is a constant breeze and reduced amount of Mosquitoes compared to west coast properties (holetown) we found. Coverley is ideally situated as a base to enjoy all the beautiful features of the Island. The nearest beach is 5 minutes drive and is conveniently close to the famous fish market town of Oistins, where the full Caribbean experience of local barbequed fish is a must during your stay. The Fish fry on either Friday or Saturday (our favourite is Mo's Bajan Cooking Stall ! ). Other facilities are available in Oistins and is the Villas nearest town. The popular, St Lawrence Gap is a 10 minute drive or taxi ride, where lively nightlife and can be found. Grantly Adams International Airport is nearby.

  • Guest Comments from Visitor Book : Fantastic ! Beautiful home you have here. Coverley House really does have everything , right down to Tupperware Sandwich boxes and a cool box ! Your neighbours, your gardener, builder, agent are all “ace” and really friendly. Barbados is just brilliant and we WILL be back. Try the “Carib” beach bar at Sandy Beach it has excellent food, service and a good Vibe. Bathsheba, Beautiful, Submarine – Excellent ! Best Beach – Rockley and Bottom Bay. We enjoyed your music collection - brought back some good memories for us Pre-kid days! The kids have become hooked on soul music, since watching The Blues Brothers! Everything about the villa excellent. The local store – Mikes, I think was so friendly and open all hours for Rum Punch. Thanks Again. The Spence Family

  • Coverley House has three lovely furnished bedrooms, two doubles and a twin. The twins can be pushed together to make a double and all beds have high quality memory foam mattresses. In addition we have left two fold away 'Z' beds which are more suited to Children (or adults after a lot of Rum!) and the lounge has a bed settee. The lounge isn't air conditioned but is kept cool by the breeze and ceiling fans. The Villa sleeps 6 very comfortably but can accommodate 10 at a squeeze.

Notes: We have a special arrangement with a local car hire firm. We are able to offer you a small four door air conditioned car, similar to a Toyota Yaris, for BBD $500 per week including Insurance. This rate is approximately half price and equates to £125 (USD $250) per week. Airport collection and delivery is included. Normally, Cynthia will meet you in the Airport, and take you to the Villa.

Local Distances: Barbados Golf Club - 2km Airport - 3km (if we haven't got a booking the day after you, you are welcome to stay at the Villa as long as you need on your departure day, chance for a last dip before you go!) Our favourite looking beach - Foul bay - 3 km - Strong current and waves though. Local supermarket and petrol station - 0.8km Local bar and restaurant - 1km Miami beach - calm and facilities 5 km Oistins fish village 4.2km St Lawrences Gap - Nightlife and restaurants, tourist attractions - 8 km

Broadband: Although all the equipment is in place, we are waiting for the installation of the phone line. It's 18 months late already though !

Further Guests comments :: Beautiful house. For us an ideal location, near to the South coast beaches and well away from the humidity and mosquitoes of the west coast. The children loved the pool and the adults loved the gazebo area. We've stayed in lots of villas in the past an this was the best equipped of all. Our favourite beach is as always Casunna St. Nicholas Abbey was very enjoyable especially the film ! Dr. Smith. Cheshire.

Golf: Sunny weather all year round makes Barbados an ideal location for golfing and the perfect vacation spot for golfers. These glorious weather conditions are complimented by excellent golf courses and facilities. The Barbados golf club is less then 2km from the Villa, the 6,805 yard par 72 golf course has been approved and sanctioned by the PGA European Tour to host a PGA Seniors Tournament in 2003 and has hosted the Barbados Open in 2000 and 2001. They offer club rental, 9 and 18 hole hole day passes along with 3 and 7 day unlimited access.

Guest Book: What an amazing holiday!!! It was the best holiday I've ever been on ! The villa is quality. We both had tears in our eyes when we had to leave .We have had an amazing time in Barbados. Coverley House is a great base for the whole Island. A home from home with everything you need and expect from a luxury villa. The Gospel breakfast at the Crane on Sundays is a must. If you fell adventurous, try Zed’s surfing school, 10mins from the house. Fish Pot restaurant , as recommended by Craig and Pandy in Information pack was amazing, with a relaxed and romantic atmosphere. Everything was perfect; Jackie was really nice and helped us out. I’ve recommended it to loads of people and they are interested in booking it as well Thank ever so much again, Sean and Nicola.
